1952 - Abilene Texas, new 41 foot Alma trailer. The site is property owned by Carole's step-father's brother. Car is a 1947 Chevrolet, maroon. Adjoining the property was a 10 acre cotton field where Carole and Scotty decided to see what it was like to pick cotton in 1953. Carole lived here during the first seven months of the seventh grade. She attended North Junior High School and was in beginning band - trombone. A creek on the property contained numerous water moccasins which Scotty would shoot at with his BB gun.

contracting business in Apple Valley, CA during the boom years 1950s and 1960s.

October 1969 when we took the Fireball sailboat down to LA to show in the LA and Long Beach Boat Shows. The man is Carole's stepfather Johnie Ray (Dick) Hopkins; with him is Maria Hopkins, Dickie's wife. The picture was taken in front of Carole's dad's trailer in El Monte.
