Dear Family and Friends,

We hope you are doing well. The biggest change here is that Kim and Tess became State workers. After a short 40 years we can retire with a full pension - assuming the dollar has any value by then - or has not been replaced by the "Amero" – which some advocate as North America's answer to the Euro.

Stephen is in his final year at Mira Loma and has applied to several schools, mostly UC, with a declared major of Computer Engineering. Stephanie is a junior at USC, in her second year there: With the advanced IB courses and a few summer classes, she was able to skip an entire year.

Last summer Kim, Stephen, and his friend Chris rappelled down Moaning Cavern. We also drove race cars at Roseville Speedway - which we highly recommend. We went to Kim's 30th High School reunion in Reno, where he met some old friends and even made some new ones. Tess learned to drive and got a Hyundai Elantra.

Kim's grandmother Frances Foley Berry passed away in April at age 97. We have scanned photos of her childhood in Sacramento and put them on the web.

Our parakeets got in a fight and we lost our yellow "Minnie-me." We then adopted “Sky-Blue.” The parakeets like to ride on the ceiling fan. Please see our parakeet videos on YouTube.

Our favorite TV shows this year have been Mind of Mencia and The Colbert Report, both on Comedy Channel. A movie we recommend is The Island – don’t read anything about it – not even the back of the DVD case – just watch. ("The World's Fastest Indian" is also good.)

Chevy provided a website to "Create your own Tahoe Ad." Here was my un-PC submission.
